I'm involved with a local convention that had started out in 2009, and for the past 8 months I've been devoting a lot of my time & effort to help raise money for the group by selling crafts & prints at any events we could get... Oddly enough my crafts always seem to do better than my prints. Hmmm, I've been telling myself to broaden my range as well as try to bump up my style and techniques.
Along the while in early summer I had been struggling with the paneling layout for my Shoujo Brite project and even had 3 possible versions for the next scene (which introduces Murky, Lurky, and the "Dark One") Wracking my brains out over something that was supposed to have been fun, stopped making it all fun. Then I considered writing it in fanfic literary style, but then that would have meant that I'd have to rewrite the first few pages that way as well... Then I struggled with how to write the opening sequence in a creative fashion. Because of the cliché I didn't want to write in "It was a dark and story night"! (although visually that's how it is... but literary I really don't want to go there!) So I put that aside and focused on my group volunteering (GO WINTERCON!!) and me-time.
Also I have another dA on the side in which I'll be uploading my crafts there instead of on here from now on (
Oh yeah and my boyfriend was stalking my account.
